This simple, elegant sixty's dress is a fine example of awkward vintage sizing. The bust is quite large, yet the waist and hips fit more like a size 8. Possibly hand made by an exceptional seamstress, this gown has been constructed with crepe and satin. It is fully lined throughout and has a huge split up the back, as well as fine detailing on the bodice. Measurements: Bust: up to 36, Waist up to 26 1/2, Hips:36. Flaws: None: Near mint Label: None

If it is elegant simplicity that you
are after, look no further. Gently boned in the waist, netted underskirt
to enhance the clean fluid lines of the cut and fully lined throughout,
this dress is absolutely beautiful. The colour is a true midnight blue,
(which is why it is so difficult to photograph.) The detailing around the
bust is lovely (see additional images).

Why is it that the most dazzling dresses are always the most difficult to photograph? Fabulous 50’s bespoke gown. Tons of black netting covered with a delicate lace and a river of iridescent sequins. Fantastically sparkly, the photographs do not do this dress justice. Measurements: Bust up to 34, Waist up to 26", Hips: Free Flaws: This dress had numerous small holes in the lace, plus a number of sequins missing. It has been restored fully by hand and these repairs are invisible. There are some rips in the under netting, which have been sown up but when the dress is turn inside out are visible. Label: None |
